The ercol showroom in Princes Risborough is the ideal place to see both a selection of our finest furniture and also fabric swatches for our chair and sofa reupholstery. Situated within 160,000 square foot of factory space, since opening the doors of our showroom in 2002 we have welcomed many visitors; some come to see original items of our beautifully crafted furniture, while others come to explore the wide range of fabrics that we can offer through our sofa reupholstery service.

We're very proud the work that we do and of our factory's award-winning status, with accolades received for both its architectural design and environmental features. Visitors are welcome to take their time to view our products, or have a chat with our staff about our chair and sofa reupholstery services. If you wish to reupholster a chair or sofa that we have on display, we may even be able to show you exactly what we'll do during the reupholstery process.

Why reupholster? Chair and sofa cushions degrade over time

There are two primary reasons to reupholster; chair padding and sofa cushions can degrade and become less supportive over the years, or sometimes, people just fancy giving their furniture a 'makeover' to fit in with a change in taste. If you want to reupholster a chair or sofa, it can be hard to choose the right fabric without actually seeing it - that's why we always make sure there are large swatch samples available in the ercol showroom. By seeing the colours and feeling the texture yourself, you can make a more informed choice when it comes to selecting the best fabric for your sofa reupholstery. If you're not within travelling distance of the ercol showroom, then visit one of our retail stockists who will be delighted to help you.  They all have the full range of our fabric swatches available for viewing.

Additionally, because our showroom models are all displayed in this season's new fabrics, you will get a good idea what the fabrics look like on a sofa or chair. Our showroom staff will be happy to talk you through the sofa reupholstery process, or show you how we'll reupholster a chair or any other item - remember that when we reupholster a chair or sofa, we only replace the covers and interiors, as our solid wood frames are built to last for many years.

Furniture and reupholstery fabrics

Whether you want to browse through our current furniture ranges, or wish to ask questions about how we reupholster a chair or sofa, feel free to visit our ercol showroom or your local stockist (find details on our reupholstery ordering page), who will be happy to help. If there's a particular piece you wish to see, we advise phoning first to confirm that it's on display.

The showroom is also the location of efo, the ercol factory outlet, where you will find a range of ex-display models and factory seconds for sale. A full stock list is available on our web site.
